TOAST Algorithm

As part of the Veterans Administration Acute Stroke Study (VASt), a computerized algorithm was developed and validated for improving the reliability of the TOAST algorithm for assigning ischemic stroke subtype (Goldstein LB, Jones MR, Matchar DB, Edwards LJ, Hoff J, Chilukuri V, Armstrong B, Horner RD.
