For the first time, a textbook offers a comprehensive clinical guide to neurological conditions associated with pregnancy and childbirth. The textbook, edited by Duke Neurology alumni Emma Ciafaloni, MD, and Cheryl Bushnell, as well as Loralei Thornburg, MD, also features two chapters co-authored by Jodi Dodds, MD, and Aaron Loochtan DO. Dodds and Loochtan wrote two chapters on managing stroke with Cheryl Bushnell, MD, one on managing ischemic stroke, and the other on managing hemorrhagic stroke.

Neurological Diseases and Pregnancy: A Coordinated Care Model for Best Management brings together multidisciplinary experts from neurology, obstetrics maternal fetal medicine, genetics, family planning, neurosurgery, and other fields to provide a thorough, protocol-driven clinical guide on how to treat patients with neurologic disease before, during and after pregnancy.
