Tagliafierro, Delaney, and Gupta to discuss human genetics research in RTP
Postdoctoral researchers from throughout the Neurology Department will discuss how their research is advancing our understanding of genetics at the Duke Human Genetics Scientific Retreat on Friday, March 16. The free, all-day event will be held in the North Carolina Biotechnology Center in Research Triangle Park.
speakers at this event include:
- Lidia Tagliafierro, PhD, from the lab of Ornit Chiba-Falek PhD, who will discuss “iPSC-derived neuronal models: application for developing strategies to manipulate SNCA expression.”
- Joe Delaney, PhD, from the lab of Al La Spada, MD, PhD, who will discuss “Monoallelic copy-number alterations dominate tumor genetic landscapes and enable potent treatment opportunities.”
- Santosh Gupta, PhD, from the lab of Simon Gregory, PhD, who will discuss “Genomic and phenotypic evidence for prostate cancer osteomimicry in circulation tumor cells for men with metastatic castration resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) treated with radium-223.
